News and Updates

March 17th 2008.....Almost back to normal

Healing is going well, so I'm going to try to get back to things gradually from Thursday 20th March. I'm a bit limited because of a lack of movement in my shoulder, so check before you come in.
I'm going to need physio for a while and I'll have to go for regular xrays, because of the position of the break, so our opening times are going to be a bit erratic over the next few weeks.
I'll try my best to keep the opening times updated, but please phone 01244 351777 to check we're here and that I can do your piercing. Please try not to email. I haven't kept up with my emails and it's going to take weeks to catch up.

February 29th 2008......Bad News ~ Closed for a while

We will be closed for a little while (couple of weeks, maybe) because I've broken my arm in an accident. I've seen a consultant who thinks I may be able to start physio in about a week or two. It's all very fluid, as it all depends on how well the bone sets. Keep an eye on the opening times page in the 'about us' section of the website for details.

September 23rd 2007

well guys, here it is. Our new website is finished. It's taken a long while to learn what I needed to learn in order to build the new site. My son reckons I've joined the realm of 'Supergeek', where even geeks throw stones and call me names, because I now run my computer on linux, which is well suited to building websites. The code was all handwritten using 'Kate', an advanced text editor that is perfect for the job. It's only whilst building the site that I've realised how utterly useless Internet explorer is. You have to write loads of extra code because IE simply doesn't work properly. I can't figure why such a huge percentage of our population use a program that doesn't work and lets so many bugs in. My advice to anyone still surfing with IE is - DON'T. Use firefox instead.

Plagiarists please note

I've had a number of people telling me that a 'certain piercer' in Liverpool (Yes,you) has stolen some of our copyrighted stuff again.

I've checked and you're right. They've stolen some wording off one of our old information sheets.

I'm not going to take any action against them, because if they actually read what they've stolen, it should make them better people and they might realise that piercing is far more important than politics (We all live in hope).

It's also wording that we no longer use, other than in it's full context on the 'About Us' page of this website, so they're welcome to it.

Plagiarism is more common than you think. I've come accross other websites that have done worse than they have.

One site copied an entire page of our site.

I've only got one thing to say - Do your own work instead of pinching mine, because I WON'T be so kind in the future.
